Resident Evil 5 will come with two-player online and offline cooperative play as well as the Mercenaries minigame at launch but there’s more multiplayer on the way. Capcom has just uploaded new Trophies for the game that reveal several other multiplayer modes coming to RE5.
The ten new Trophies (which you can view here) indicate there will be five new multiplayer modes in total: Slayers, Survivors, Team Slayers, Team Survivors and Versus. All of these modes obviously feature a bunch of hapless humans shooting zombies but it’s not clear what the specific mechanics are.
These multiplayer modes haven’t been mentioned in any advance reviews so it seems Capcom will release them at a later date as downloadable content. When this DLC will be released – and how much it’ll cost you – is unknown at this time. Resident Evil 5 will be released on March 13th in North America and PAL territories.
